Gingerly opened in March 2008. Owner Megan Wray, creator of Gingerly Designs jewelry, wanted Maple Ridge to have a place to shop that felt like a Vancouver Boutique, but closer to home. Her goal in creating Gingerly was to incorporate as many local and Canadian designers as possible to give opportunities to other artists such as herself who make things by hand and are trying to get into the wholesale market.
